About Pomodoro's
Pomodoro's Pasta and Pizzeria opened its doors on Nasa Road One in 2005. Now, everyone in the Bay Area knows that Pomodoro means "tomato" in Italian! Even though we were situated in between four other, long time established, family owned Italian restaurants, it turns out that we found our niche. What makes Pomodoro's so unique? One is definitely the Brooklyn style pizza, as some of our customers have quoted "this is the best pizza I've had since I left New York"! The quality of food that we serve for the price we ask, is certainly the best in the area.
So, as our lines grew longer and our demand grew higher we took some of our customers' advice and opened Pomodoro's Cucina Italiana in South Shore Harbor. As our popularity increased and Pomodoro's was slowly becoming a household name in the Clear Lake and League City areas, Shopping Center management companies started contacting us, asking if we would lease a location in their centers. Thus, along comes Pomodoro's newest location in Webster/Friendswood, Pomodoro's Italian Restaurant and Pizza! We've come a long way since 2005. We thank all of our loyal customers for your patronage!
About the Chef/Owner
Although Louis (actually named Luigi after his grandfather) was born in Brooklyn, New York, he spent his first 4 years in Sicily, Italy. With both his parents being from Italian descent, and growing up in a predominately Italian neighborhood in Brooklyn, Louis has been surrounded by the Italian culture, food and way of life all of his life. His first career out of college was on Wall Street, but he quickly lost interest in a 9 to 5 desk job. He began spending some time at his uncle's Italian restaurant in New Jersey and discovered that he had a flair for cooking! He not only discovered that he cooked well, he really enjoyed it and that was the end of his career on Wall Street.
Louis opened his first restaurant in Brooklyn, New York called Luigi's. The restaurant was a great little neighborhood pizzeria that kids enjoyed hanging out at and business was good. A few years down the road an opportunity presented itself to Louis in Houston, Texas. Louis and his wife of 31 years, Josephine, made the move to Houston along with their 3 daughters, Danielle, Lisa and Tina. Louis and Josephine reside in Friendswood, Texas with their daughter Tina. Danielle, her husband Chris and their son, Dominic, reside nearby in League City, Texas. Newlyweds Lisa and Quinton reside near the Nasa location.
